Panoramic decor: THE INCAS

Published in 1818, this panoramic wallpaper was manufactured by Manufacture Dufour. This panoramic relates the conquest of Peru by Pizarro in the 16th century and represents, among other things, the celebration of the festival of the sun at the temple of Cuzco. The famous designer of this decor: Louis Joseph Fuchs drew his inspiration from Marmontel's novel "The Incas". the author published it in 1778 and dedicated it to the king of Sweden. The work denounces fanaticism and the “false zeal” of religion.

Did you know In the middle of the Andes, during the winter solstice, the famous Inti Raymi Festival or festival of the sun takes place in Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas. The Incas had such admiration for the sun that they believed that gold was her tears and a representation of the regenerative powers of the sun. The silver represented the tears of the moon.

Available in 3 atmospheres : original colors , rising sun ( revisited version of this magnificent decor with variations of pale yellow, pink and blue, evoking the softness of the first light of the day) and summer evening ( Version with orange and bluish variations evoking the delicate colors of summer evenings).

• Printed on 165 g/M2 non-woven paper (light-resistant) and sold in strips
• 91 cm wide for a height of: 1M80 or 2M70 or custom-made (see custom format tab ) .
• Installed edge to edge.

For a height of 1M80, this decor is made up of 11 strips of 91 cm wide for a total width of 10M01. Minimum purchase: 1 strip.

For a height of 2M70, this decor is made up of 16 strips of 91 cm wide for a total width of 14M56. Minimum purchase: 1 strip.

Important information

It is recommended to avoid ordering different strips of the same decor several weeks apart, knowing that slight color differences may appear from one print to another.
