Panoramic scenery: BRAZIL

Enchanting settings

Made in 1862 by Joseph Fuchs for the Jules Desfossé factory, this panoramic wallpaper: Brazil depicts an exotic landscape very fashionable in the 19th century by exalting the tropical character of the country, through idealized fauna and flora. Scarlet ibises, parrots, peacocks, birds of paradise and pelicans flit around the palm trees and lush plants.

Landscape paintings, panoramic wallpapers, were a form of wall decoration, specifically French, in keeping with the taste of the 19th century, for the outdoors and the picturesque. Changing the interior into the exterior, the panoramic launches the imagination through landscapes, mythological stories, travel reports, successful novels...

Did you know : Executing a panoramic could require several thousand engraved plates and several years of work.

Available in 2 colors: original colors or rising sun. Revisited version of this magnificent decor in variations of pale yellow, pink and blue, evoking the softness of the first light of the day.
