Elegant and poetic, this décor, created around 1775, reflects the influence of Mughal art on the creations of the Jouy Manufactory. Composed of flowering branches, perched birds and delicate foliage, it draws inspiration from motifs found on Oriental textiles, which the manufactory's designers reinterpreted into refined and original decorative compositions.

Beyond its decorative richness, this pattern celebrates nature and renewal. In Hindu symbolism, birds, flowers and insects evoke springtime, life and happiness.

Now preserved in the collections of the Musée de la Toile de Jouy, this historic design has been reissued as a non-woven wallpaper printed on a 165 g/m² matte substrate.

Important Information

Our wallpapers are printed to order, ensuring a responsible production process and allowing for bespoke adaptations.

As non-woven wallpaper is not completely opaque, we recommend applying a lining paper or primer when installing on dark or coloured surfaces.

To facilitate installation and compensate for wall irregularities, we recommend allowing a minimum safety margin of 5 cm on both height and width measurements.
