Description
Based on an original late 18th-century design preserved at the Musée de la Toile de Jouy, Le Jardin de la Reine celebrates the pineapple, a symbol of luxury, exoticism and refinement. Introduced to France in the 18th century, this rare fruit became a true object of fascination and a source of inspiration for the decorative arts of the period. According to tradition, Marie-Antoinette herself is said to have chosen this theme to decorate some of her apartments at Versailles.
Now preserved at the Musée de la Toile de Jouy, this historic design has been meticulously restored by Paradisio Imaginarium. Without altering the original drawing, we developed an exclusive approach to colour, nuance and light, revealing a new atmosphere that remains faithful to the spirit of the original while giving it a contemporary presence.
Each creation is thus born from a dialogue between heritage and creativity, where the excellence of the decorative arts meets the distinctive vision of Paradisio Imaginarium.
